We're back! How the Ockham sales team are working under Level 2
After 50 days of virtual tours, videos and a whole lot of Zoom, our sales team returned to the office on Thursday 14 May. In this article, we briefly explain how we’re working, when the sales suite is open – and the steps we’re taking to meet our Level 2 requirements.

📢 Please note our sales suite will be closed this coming weekend – Sat 30 & Sun 31 May. However, Joss and Nick are still available for calls and virtual viewings at the numbers below.
Ockham's Joss Lewis rattles off the numbers. "In 50 days of lockdown, we took 108 calls on Kōkihi, did 33 virtual tours — and got tricked into making one TikTok happy birthday video," she says. While running up a virtual sales suite was challenging (mostly in a good way) and heaps of fun, it wasn't the same. She's looking forward to Level 2. "We start back in the office this morning," she continues. "We'll be back seeing people face-to-face, back doing what we love."
But Level 2 requirements mean the team will be operating under important and (fairly stringent) new rules. Joss explains:
- Our sales suite is now open 12-2pm each day.
- We maintain social distancing at all times so please don't be offended if we give you a thumbs up rather than a handshake or high-five.
- We see two groups max — two spaced bubbles — with no more than 10 people in the suite at any one time.
- We disinfect all surfaces after every visit.
Virtual tours available
Joss appreciates some people will still prefer to do things remotely.
"We’re available for virtual viewings which really come to life with our interactive walk-throughs," she says. "Nick and I have become fairly proficient on Zoom — the 'Zoom Queens' they call us — and this video gives you a good idea of what we can show you. And just before lockdown, we made a video of our Kokihi model to help people visualise what the development will look like. We can teleport you to your future apartment.
"If you'd like a virtual tour, then give us a buzz or book an appointment online."

All systems go for Ockham Construction...
Meanwhile Ockham's construction crews have been back on site since Wednesday 29 April.
"It's been a frantic fortnight," says Will Deihl, General Manager at Ockham Construction. "It’s always a buzz to start a new project, especially one as special as Kōkihi in Waterview. We’re doing all the fun stuff at the moment — the digging, the trenching, the excavation. The hard yards."
Ockham Construction are currently working on two sites — Modal, the 33-unit all-rental development in Mt Albert, and Kokihi, our new 95-unit development in Waterview.
“We’re working with reduced numbers, splitting shifts, wearing PPE, practising social distancing," Will says. "Our workers’ health and safety is essential — and we’re also keenly aware of our responsibility to the greater community. We know we’ve got to do this right. And we will.
“It’s been a tough couple of months for everyone, humbling actually. For us, we’ve been reminded of the importance of our whānau, our communities and this city we love. It’s a privilege to be building for Auckland. We’re stoked to be back."
